As the largest town in three (3) counties, we offer the conveniences expected in a regional hub. In the unlikely event that what you are searching for still is not available in Kewanee, we are just a short drive from the larger metropolitan areas of Peoria, Galesburg, or LaSalle/Peru in Illinois, or the Illinois/Iowa Quad Cities. The city of Chicago is easily accessible either by car or very conveniently by rail. An Amtrak train leaves Kewanee daily at 8:06 AM arriving in Chicago’s Union Station at 10:35 AM and again at 7:24 PM arriving in Chicago at 9:53 PM. Daily departures from Chicago are at 7:35 AM arriving in Kewanee at 9:43 AM and again at 5:55 PM arriving Kewanee at 8:03 PM. These trains originate or continue on to Quincy, IL. Of course, parking at Kewanee’s Amtrak Station is always free.

Kewanee offers an array of housing opportunities from modest single family homes to stately Victorian beauties. New construction is encouraged with the City of Kewanee offering building lots for $1.00 each (you heard it right!) in two (2) new housing developments (some restrictions apply – call us for details). For those who would prefer to live in a senior living facility or at least in a neighborhood of exclusively other seniors, we have that too.
